HazMat Competency Endorsement (Theory)

The ELDT Hazmat Certificate course fulfills all FMCSA requirements for drivers pursuing a Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement on their CDL. It covers all learning materials outlined in the FMCSA regulations for Hazardous Materials Training for Competency Completion. Topics include federal regulations, safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials, emergency response procedures, security threat awareness, and proper loading, unloading, and placarding practices. To complete the course, students must demonstrate understanding with a competency score of 80% or better. Upon successful completion, results are automatically submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR), qualifying the driver to take the Hazmat knowledge test at their local DMV.
